As a creative writer and digital strategist, I created content across Tom’s platforms.
“Worth Fighting For” newsletter — I pitched, designed, and produced a biweekly newsletter for the Tom Steyer PAC to inform our email list of Tom’s activities, invite them to take action, and spread awareness on critical issues. These newsletters were among our highest performing emails and received recognition from staff and readers alike.
Advocacy writing for Earth Day — To underscore Earth Day’s importance, I collaborated with our designer to build this page, which we promoted on Tom’s social media channels.
Twitter video script — I drafted this video script for Climate Power 2020 to draw an explicit connection between climate change and the natural disasters happening at the time.
Medium article — When we transitioned to the PAC after Tom suspended his campaign, our focus shifted to election turnout and advocacy efforts. I wrote this Medium article to encourage Tom’s audience to take action.
Most recently, I worked as a digital writer and creative strategist at a D.C.-based digital agency, Interactive Strategies. I wrote content for 30 clients across several industries. Though my work spanned many channels, email marketing for mission-driven nonprofits was my favorite. Here is a small sample of the hundreds of emails I wrote over two years.
